My passion for this work grew out of years spent in a small tax practice. I met people who cared deeply about their business but felt unsure about their books. They weren't doing anything "wrong"—they simply hadn't been shown how the pieces fit together or why QuickBooks® Online behaves the way it does.

Again and again, I'd hear the same thing:

"I've never had training… no one ever taught me how this works… I'm probably doing it wrong."

That mix of uncertainty and self-doubt is something I understand. Early in my own QuickBooks® Online journey, I remember staring at a list of customer invoice balances due and knowing something was off—but having no idea where to start. I remember trying to create invoices and make sense of how everything connected. Those early struggles shaped how I teach today: clearly, calmly, and without judgment. Confusion is normal— not a personal failure.

By 2007, I realized what I loved most wasn't the tax work—it was helping people feel capable with their books. So I opened my own consulting firm focused on QuickBooks education, cleanup, and workflow improvement. Earning my Advanced QuickBooks® Online certification soon after was a natural next step.

The people who benefit most from working with me want more than quick answers—they want to understand the why behind the what. They want bookkeeping workflows that make sense for their real business. They want the right amount of bookkeeping knowledge—not everything, just what helps them feel confident and in control.
